Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Multimode MPO Patch Cords (OM3 & OM4)
2. Single-Mode MPO Patch Cords (OS2)
Q: What is the difference between an MPO and MTP® connector?
A: MPO (Multi-Fiber Push-On) is the industry standard connector type. MTP® is a specific, high-performance brand of MPO connector manufactured by US Conec. MTP® connectors feature tighter mechanical tolerances and removable housings, but are fully compatible with all standard MPO transceivers.
Q: Should I order Male or Female MPO cables for my switch?
A: Switch transceivers (like QSFP+) are almost always Male (they contain the metal guide pins). Therefore, the MPO patch cord plugging directly into the switch must be Female (unpinned). Mating two Male connectors together will physically destroy the port.
Q: What is a Base-8 MPO architecture?
A: While standard MPO connectors hold 12 fibers, most 40G and 100G transceivers only use 8 of those fibers (4 to transmit, 4 to receive). Base-8 trunks are manufactured with only 8 fibers, eliminating dark (wasted) glass and reducing deployment costs.

Designed for high-speed, short-reach data center inter-rack connections using VCSEL transceivers (SR4/SR8).
Configurations: Base-8, Base-12, and Base-24.
Jackets: Aqua (OM3) or Magenta (OM4) in strictly LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) or OFNP (Plenum) ratings.
Application: 40GBASE-SR4, 100GBASE-SR4.
Engineered for long-reach, high-bandwidth campus and hyperscale routing using laser optics.
Glass Grade: Premium G.657.A2 bend-insensitive glass standard for tight rack routing.
Polish: Strictly APC (Angled Physical Contact) 8-degree polish to guarantee superior Return Loss (>60dB) and protect sensitive long-haul transceivers.
Application: 100GBASE-PSM4, 400G-DR4.
3. MPO to LC Breakout Cables (Harnesses)
The critical bridge between your high-density core switches and individual servers. These cables take a single 8-fiber or 12-fiber MPO connector and break it out into 4 or 6 standard LC duplex connectors.
Options: Available in OM4 and OS2.
Cable Management: Slim 2.0mm LC legs to maintain critical cooling airflow at the server exhaust.
Custom Lengths: We provide exact-length staggers so your rack remains perfectly clean without messy service loops.
The Televers Quality Standard:
Mating 12 microscopic glass cores simultaneously leaves zero room for error. A poor polish on an MPO connector will crush your transceiver pins or cause immediate link failure.
We partner strictly with elite contract manufacturers to ensure every MPO assembly passes rigorous Quality Assurance before it reaches your facility:
3D Interferometry Testing: Every MPO end-face is 3D scanned to guarantee perfect coplanarity and fiber height across the entire array.
IL & RL Verification: Individual factory test reports verifying strictly low Insertion Loss and high Return Loss.
Polarity & Gender Audits: We actively audit your Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure you are ordering the correct Type A, Type B, or Type C polarity, and the correct Male (Pinned) or Female (Unpinned) connectors for your active equipment.
